MCA Grand National

  • Wow, only one forum member besides myself taking a K to the grand? I'm disappointed...

Heading out Thursday AM, plan on rolling into Augusta mid afternoon Friday. No internet access till I get back sometime late Monday night.

Hope there are more K's there than responses to this thread, lol.

Look me up and introduce yourself if you do make the show...

  • I know I am disappointed in not having a car that can make it. But those of us in the Great Northwest would have a very expensive journey indeed were our Kars up to the trip. We wish to live vicariously through the wonderful pictures ya'll post for our enjoyment. Have a ball, and tell it like it was

  • Well, I saw a total of 3 K's at the show (including mine). From the forum I believe we had 2 K's, mine and Gary's. There was a special paint 66 there with auto tranny that I never could find the owner of. Didn't write down the VIN and don't remember if I took a pic of it until I get a chance to go through my pictures. Pretty dismal K turnout...

Harvey, it was great meeting you and your Shelby. Hope you got some gas in the beast and got it on the trailer ok!

I learned that artificial lighting sure does show every little flaw in your paint! Was nice being in A/C and out of the rain though...

  • We were there. Drove three days to arrive and three days home >4000 miles. It was worth it. Got to park in front of Meryln's beautiful K.

We didn't have our K though. KAOS's engine blew up in June.

Trailered our 64.5 Indy Pace coupe.

However, we picked up another K engine on the way home.

KAOS will be running again next year.

Sadly, not enough time to get it ready for the M+ event in October.

  • Had a great time and meet some nice people. It sure was nice to be inside with the A/C. I put 2500 miles on the truck and trailer.

I expected it to be hotter.

I never saw the owner on the 'K'Koupe with the special order paint. The car is from Connecticut but I have never seen it here.

I saw him jump in the car and drive out in a big hurry, had no chance to try to talk to him.

I only put 1700 miles on mine... lol

Thanks for the compliment Joyce, your pace car sure was looking good too!
