Fred,
I also have a 3939S fuel pump I would like to have rebuilt. I was in the process of building my new house and could not find my original pump in all the boxes. I have found it now that I am unpacking. My email is gja_era@msn.com.
Thanks, Gary
Had a great time and meet some nice people. It sure was nice to be inside with the A/C. I put 2500 miles on the truck and trailer.
I expected it to be hotter.
I never saw the owner on the 'K'Koupe with the special order paint. The car is from Connecticut but I have never seen it here.
Quote from topdownKRick, I have an original L65 hipo fan , that I might sell. Bob
How much are you asking? I would like to replace the repro on my car.
Some people have more time than brains.
Quote from donI also have the Restoration Battery and I have no complaints. Tom at Restoration Battery was great to work with after UPS damaged the first one that was sent. Hint - follow the instructions on the box and immediately open the box to make sure UPS didn't damage the box. If you don't know - the "battery" is really a smaller sealed battery inside the reproduction case.
They are not cheap but look great and don't have to worry about leakage and maintence.
I 100% agree. I have had one for about a year and it has been great. The battery inside is an Optima type Gel Battery.
My late (June 65) car also still has front drum brakes and always will.
Quote from s2msIf you're running a Pertronix, have the original plate, points, and condenser handy.
I simply carry a spare Pertronix. Also an electronic voltage regulator and a spare starter solenoid. I am not as concerned about the hoses, belt, etc. My concours driven car has all good parts but the electronic items may look great but could fail at any time without warning.
Here is a picture of the Coker in my trunk. It is a P205-75-R14

The battery shown is not a standard lead acid type. It is an AGM, Absorbtive Glass Mat type. This is the "Maintenance Free" type that was made by the company that is now out of business. Mine lasted 15 months.
The best battery now available is from Restoration Battery, see link below. It is a Optima Gel Type Battery in a concours correct case. $235 + shipping. Four year warranty.
Quote from mwmCaspian65,
I had to have a seperate company do the dichromate coating. I had it done here locally and they did a decent job. Claude will do individual rebuilds, is very fair and informative. He did an excellent job pressing out the lip so I could have it recoated, then he replaced all the internals and re-rolled the lip. Very professional looking and about ~$100 with all the shipping (2x).

If I read this correctly, the center band is reused. Looks pretty good though.
I believe you need more than just the second spring. The Hi-Po arm has a detent to hold the spring in position.
Charles:
Glad I saw the drawing when I did! Guess I should have saved the image.
Here is my 65 Rangoon Red, Non-GT, Fastback.

QuoteUp for auction is a very rare complete set of 65 Shelby or K code Mustang motor mounts. These are were only put on Shelbys or HiPo Mustangs in 65 (One Year Only). Generally you only find the rubber blocks show up in auctions never a complete set!! These are very different than the standard 65 mounts as they actually lowered the motor and extra inch down in the engine compartment. The frame brackets are unique along with the little pillow block that joins the frame bracket to the rubber block. This is your chance to get a complete set for your rare Hipo Ford!! Buyer to pay 40.00 shipping for UPS insured
