Argent or Charcoal SS Wheels

    Hi all.


    Does anyone know at what point the Steel styled Wheels changed in paintouts from Argent to Charcoal? My K is an April 1965 Kar. I'm looking to put new wheels on and would like to put the proper ones on it.

    I Have received an answer from someone at Scott Drake who doesn't know exactly, but says that April 65 was around the middle of the production year, so the Charcoal colour paintouts should be correct.

    I asked the same question over on the VMF in the concours area. Charles Turner was the only with specific info and he felt it was April/May of 65. There are a lot of folks with early cars running around with repro wheels with charcoal on them that is likely incorrect.
