Has anyone EVER found a date code on Ford 65 or 66 styled steel wheels? It is not typical that Ford neglected to date stamp a part, but try as I might no date shows up. Can anybody enlighten us?

My '66 SS wheels have K-H stamps and datecodes on the inside.

Concur. I have 6 NOS '65 SS wheels and they all have K/H and date stamps on the inside of the rim where the tire would cover.

How stupid of me. Had never even considered checking on the inside. Thanks, that has been on my list of inponderable subjects for 25 years. You guys get a GOLD STAR! Now how does one read the code when the tire is dismounted? Anyone have an image of the stamp along with the details? Standard format of Ford date code or one that is exclusive to K/H?

Going by memory, I think it's just a date like 4 65. I can check tomorrow if someone else doesn't answer definitively.

I have mine dismounted - actually sold but the buyer hasn't picked them up.
I may have a photo already or I can take one tonight.

Just checked one of the NOS '65 SS wheels. It has '4 65' on one of them, stamped irregular below '5 x 14 J'. The Kelsey Hayes stamp is circular with all the letters to both words spelled out (no "K/H")
