• Does anyone know if the Crower connecting rod (SP91225PF) with 5.155" centre to centre distance is a suitable replacement for the normal HIPO rod?

It appears to be correct with all the normal dimensions, but for some reason Crower only list it for a 302, not 289. It also looks to be the only rod that has a press fit wrist pin like the original, so could be used with the HIPO replacement SpeedPro forged pistons (L2482).

Thanks in advance for any info.

A Boss 302 and a HP 289 use the same rod length. Standard 289 rods are the same length as well. A standard 302 rod is shorter to compensate for the stroke difference from a 289 as the 289 and 302 use the same pistons. Does this help add to your confusion?
