What is needed to install a dual resevior brake master cylinder on an early single master cylinder car with a 4 speed manual trans ,and still use front and rear drum brakes,

Front disc or drum?
If you have disc, it's a simply bolt-on with modification/re-bending of the lines. With drum brakes, you'll need to change the distribution block and make new lines to the MC.

I am going to keep the factory front drum brake set up on the car ,can i use the original M C pedel rod .what type of ditribution block or proportion valve , i will be running the car at 1/8 & 1/4 mile tracks and just want a good pedal at the end of the track.

This set up works well, a drum brake dual reservior master cylinder for a 1967 Mustang, & adjustable proportioning valve.

CJ pony parts sells a line adaptor kit to do this. it has a couple of lines and a plug. that may be easier than making them up and it was under 20 bucks. .... 1965-1966 Single To Dual Bowl Master Cyl. Con DRUM BRAKE , ORIGINAL METAL ..part number MU14200O also available in stainless for 30
