fastback rear seat removal

I want to put seatbelts in my fastback, but can't seem to get the rear seat bottom out without excessive force. I don't want to break anything by forcing it further. Is it different than the convertible, b/c I have no problem removing the seat in my 'vert. Any ideas to help me along?

Push the bottom of the seat down and back and it will lift up. Then slide the back down off the tabs.

Push the front of the rear seat base down hard, and push to the rear for removal at the same time.
