Autolite air cleaner stud help

I just finally replaced my Holley with the correct Autolite 4100. Everything bolted up just fine, even got it started. So I got to put the air cleaner stud in (figured I'd re-use the Holley one) and the stud is way too small, or I'm missing a threaded boss altogether. Can anybody shed some light on this for me? I know I'm pretty dim..

Also, does anybody have a picture of the correct placement for the throttle return spring?

The stud is Ford p/n 370971-S8. It has a 5/16-18 thread at one end, a 1/4-20 thread at the other, is 3 13/16 inch long overall and has a 1/2 hex drive 'nut' towards the 1/4-20 end. You can get it at NPD, AMK Products or most other Mustang stores for $5 to $7.
