Washer Hose lengths & Routing '65-'66

  • I recently bought from Jack at Dead Nuts On the very correct reproduction Windsheild Washer hose set for my '65.

(BTW: If anyone wants a kit you'll have to call, as they are not yet listed on Jack's website)

My question is CAN someone with a KNOWN ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED car photograph the installation & routing of the hoses, and measure them so the reproductions can be correctly installed?

  • This does help, Thanks!

Is the washer hose setup the original? or has it been replaced? it looks newer in the pictures....

Also noticed the placement of the shock tower decal/sticker....its been installed vertically and most are horizontal....which plant is your car from??

  • Those are the original hoses, kar is a Metuchen, I finally had to replace the washer hoses 2 years ago and now that the deadnuts stuff is out I'm going to have to do it again. Yes the sticker was that way from new, it also has the blue alt fan and a couple other oddities.

  • The Dead Nuts On stuff is very nice, but it comes longer than you need to do a Mustang.

Jack is/was working with Charles on getting measurements and pictures of correct routing of the hoses from a known original car that he has access to but the car is a ways from him right now and won't be back for some time so he can do it-thats why I asked for help here.

Do you have any recent shots of your engine bay area after the restoration?

  • Heres a pic from 1985 when she was done (was not a total resto just a cleanup and touchup)

  • Guys, I installed the new ribbed washer hose from quick reference pictures I took at recent car shows of several cars-I think mine looks very correct and I took my time in making sure the ribs face out so they can be seen and I routed them properly as well.

I also found a NOS clear "T" at Green Sales but that evedentally was the last one they had, its now installed into the new ribed hose!

The NOS "T" is SMALLER than the reproductions and more clear as well, it doesn't make the hose buldge out like the repros do and was worth the $6.00 I paid for it.

I do have lines on about 12 more NOS "Ts" if anyone needs one please pm me & I'll give you the info.
