easy question - trap door finish

    Hopefully an easy question for someone out there. How was the back (trunk side) of the fastback trap door, hinges, and prop hardware finished? Body color, interior color, natural??? Also, was the latch or striker painted at all? I have a San Jose early '65.

    Here is what my Dearborn car had upon disassembly for restoration:


    Trap door was painted interior color.


    Hinges were black - not sure of the coating - mine just cleaned up nicely so i left them as is.


    Some latch parts and door support were silver plating - I had them clear zinc plated and they turned out awesome.


    The latch knob and slider were re-chromed if I remember correctly.
