Never had a problem.

My restorer tells me that hes had 2 sets-(not sure if it was all 8 plugs)(I think it was the ones with the stars)come apart on him with the engine running causing major damage in the engine compartment.
I am led to believe by this info that we should not run our engines with these NOS OLD BF32s installed......

I've always run BF-32's in my car and never had a problem. Some guys prefer to run BF-42's as they are a hotter plug and less prone to fouling but they are still the same style plug.

I know there is no direct cross reference for the BF32 but understand that the Autolite 45 is equivellent to the BF42.
So no one has had any trouble with using OLD NOS BF32s--with them coming apart while running??

Have used BF32s for over 30 years and never had any problems.
Your friend that said his came apart maybe cracked one during
installation.
