Before I got my car, some of the sheet metal was replaced in the trunk. Although the spare tire carriage bolt mount was transferred to the new panel, I don't know if it was put in the correct place or orientation (I've never had a spare, but will after restoration). can someone with an early San Jose car (in is a fastback) post a picture and some measurements? Better yet would be photos with rulers, but I'll take what I can get. May as well get it right before I try to put a tire in there...

Do you still need this. I may be off work Wednesday and be able to get the measurements off my Sept. 64 SJ fastback. It's an A code but I assume it will be the same,

Oops - I just realized it is Wednesday. No wonder they didn't pick up my garbage this morning as I thought it was Thursday. Here's my too-late post:
Hey Larry,
If you get a minute, I would appreciate it. My car is Oct. '64. It may be a couple months before I get to that part of the car since I'm working on the underside starting at the front(currently doing front suspension). But I'm always daydreaming ahead.<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
Thanks!

I ended up being off today too. Hope this helps. Please excuse the rust and undercoating. It's just a driver.

The tape is up against the bumper support.
