• Since the subject of Clones was raised in another column I answered an ad for a 66 Hertz GT350. The guy said it was not the correct number on the fender, and continued,'its SFM6S514 on one fender and....6T09K100514 on the other ', and the pictures showed power steering, wonkie headers, steel pan, and an admitted 351W in it with a C4. Do we have an altered number do you think? He wants $85 large.

  • You can check with SAAC but all the Shelby's were built in the San Jose plant - should be an "R" not a "T" (New Jersey) in the serial number.

I hope that is $8500....not $85000 - 'cause that is just stupid!

The guy probably just doesn't know and thinks he has a real Shelby.

It is still a K car.

  • 'As I said, this is supposed to be a K car, and he claims it is, but not one belonging to any Shelby, so is the K valuable, and could it have that low a number? " 6t09100514 ?
