Best Way to Ship Doors from CA to WI

Hi Guys,

I have located some good Mustang doors in the Fresno, CA area and I need to get them shipped back to Madison, WI. The seller is willing to box them individually to prevent damage. What I need is ideas on how to get them safely transported at a reasonable cost. I suspect that someone on this site will be able to steer me in the right direction. How about it, anyone want to make a road trip to WI to see what winters are all about? <img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I had a door shipped from California to Georgia via greyhound bus. Guy packed and padded it in a bicycle box. Came through fine, Cost was very low.

I agree. Use the Greyhound bus service. I've shipped fenders this way and the cost was more than reasonable compared to paying oversize truck freight.

Hey Tom...The bicycle box is the perfect box...just go by any bicycle shop and ask for their empty boxes...take a tape measure to get the correct size...call Greyhound and your set...Bob
