As round2k indicated a 65 without red line tires may or may not have a tire pressure decal in the glovebox. If it does have one it should be in the back left corner or on the door. A 66 has to have one or you lose a point. If the car has redlines it must have a red line tire pressure decal on the door. This applies to both 65 and 66. All that said it's only a one point deduction if its wrong or missing.

Now Joyce, Kaos is very MCA worthy...in the modified class.

The Original owner area is for 64 1/2 cars only and is being organized by a gentleman named Marc Snyder. Of course original owner 64 1/2 K codes are more than welcome in this special display area. Marc's email is msnyder66@earthlink.net if you would like to be included.

All,
I received an email from Charlie Schlund (don't know if he is a member here or not) asking if a K-code display was being planned for the 45th Mustang Anniversary Celebration in Birmingham, similiar to the one I organized in Nashville at th 40th, in 2004. This was my response:
None currently unless someone wants to take the lead. I organized the display in Nashville, but as Executive Director of the 45th I can't devote the time and coordination required to set it up. We were restricted for space in Nashville and that will not be the case at Barber. Here are the requirements that I have placed on all speciality groups displays:
Must be at least 25 cars (I'll lower that to 15 for the K-codes)
Must be pre-registered (registration ends March 31st, 2009)
Provide list of participants names and registration numbers to me no later than April 7, 2009 (7 days after registration closes)
All speciality group parking will be on the grass in the "Fan Zone" adjacent to the track straight away. This will be your assigned parking area for the entire event.
If anyone on the forum would like to put this together and do the necessary coordination with the participants, Please respond direct to me, Steve Prewitt, gtpony94@aol.com. I can also be reached at 706-860-4535 in the evening between 6 and 9 pm EST.

I stand corrected. With the door panels, kick panels, and console white, that would imply the seats would be white also.

The following items should be white:
Instrument panel, steering column, kick panels, door panels, console
The following items should be bright red:
Dash pad, radio speaker grill, lower windshield molding, windshiled post, sunvisors, metal door surfaces, quarter trim panels, 2+2 side vent panels and overhead moldings.
Seat upholstery should be red (red and white was not an option but is available today, although not correct for concours)

Great News!! Jean and Jason told me at the Grand National that they have recovered the lost photo files from the hard drive that crashed on them following the Mustang 40th birthday bash in Nashville. They has lost it all but it is back. They can be contacted via email at transcolorphoto@netscape.net if you are interested in buying one. They can also be reached at 615-579-1133 in Tennessee or 352-216-7093 in Florida. If you were one of the 17 K-Codes lined up against the cliff in Nashville, you will want one of these. I think it still stands as the record number of Ks in one spot in recent memory.

There was a discussion some time back that autolifters has gone out of business but that a group of the company employees were going to buy out everything and keep it going. Anything ever come of this to anyone's knowledge? My autolifter is about 8 years old and I'm wondering about replacement parts should things start to wear out (hoses, guides, etc.)

Marv,
Contact Parish Heacock for quote. They are a new MCA sponsor and getting into the classic car insurance big time.

I don't think that logic would apply to 65-66 Mustangs since they were stamping and assembling as fast as they could. For these years I think the 3 months prior is a good rule of thumb. How about it Charles, you've seen a lot of original cars, how do the sheet metal date codes run?

I had a door shipped from California to Georgia via greyhound bus. Guy packed and padded it in a bicycle box. Came through fine, Cost was very low.

Everybody I've checked with including Branda are out of stock. Nothing on ebay for a while now. No swap meets going on right now. That leaves your attic. You got one for sale?

Anybody know where I can find one that says "COBRA" on it?

Round2K,
1 to 1 would be the 4th gear ratio. This car is an automatic and we are turning the rear wheel with it in neutral trying to detemine the rear end gear ratio with out opening her up and counting teeth.
