I am restoring a 65 GT FB that is suppose to have a delux F5 interior.
F5 is white with red appts. My question - are the seats red/white or solid white? Also the door panels, headliner, dash pad and underneath, etc?
Thanks: Bob

The following items should be white:
Instrument panel, steering column, kick panels, door panels, console
The following items should be bright red:
Dash pad, radio speaker grill, lower windshield molding, windshiled post, sunvisors, metal door surfaces, quarter trim panels, 2+2 side vent panels and overhead moldings.
Seat upholstery should be red (red and white was not an option but is available today, although not correct for concours)

Steve,
I was told by a MCA Gold Card Judge that the seats should be solid white. This is a great K code GT and I want to do it right. Thanks for the information.
Bob
Steve is a Gold Card judge...
Charles, you wanna step in here?
White with red appointments would mean that everything in the interior is white except for the padded dash, carpet and seat belts. The car might also have had red pinch-on windlace.
Also... the moldings in front of the dash pad next to the windshield would be painted red like the color of the dash pad.

Thanks, I was going to call you today.

No problem. Getting a car ready to take to Scottsdale?
I'll be there. Taking a Boss 302 that we just finished to RS. How about you?
Just restoring cars for a couple guys these days. Probably will not be attending the Scottsdale auctions this year.
I stand corrected. With the door panels, kick panels, and console white, that would imply the seats would be white also.
