    It's finally a done deal...after 4 long years!

    My 67K GT and a friend's 67K GTA recently completed rotisserie restoration as joint cover cars on Mustang Monthly. I have not yet got my copy...though August's edition should be on the newsstand and in the mailbox any day now.

    It's so exciting to have my dream K-code back home and featured on the cover of two magazines...all in the same month! It's quite overwhelming right now, more later...<img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

    I do not believe a 7C or 7D dated castings ever existed.

    The only C7ZE castings I've seen were: 6M22, 7B3 then 7E8.

    Any other dates I have not seen nor heard of...seems there would more casting dates considering the needs...1175(GT350s) + 489(K-code Mustangs) + service replacements!

    Are you looking for a complete hipo engine or a block to rebuild. I just passed on a standard bore,I believe 7C date 289 block.

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    Can you let be know if this is still available? I'm in NorCal...where RU and where is the 7C block?

    <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

    <img src=images/icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle> What a pic!...Illusions of Manhattan at 5000ft first came to mind...then reality...and a big WOW!

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    BTW...the same block assembly date was stamped on the machined oil pan rail surface near the oil pump on my 67K...though in much smaller size.

    <BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote>

    Jeff,supply tag info and color on governor?

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    Better yet...Would anyone have photos?

    Anyone aware of any sources available that would list/picture the differences and identification of the 66-67 K-code C4?

    Quentin...Yes, I have pics of the wheels and many other pics to share with you and all...I just need to follow your recent steps for pic sharing. Sooner or later I will release all my pics about my car with everyone here. There appears to be sooo many correct and original pieces to the car...I am very excited about it all!

    Yes, I would like to see the Gabriel shock pics.

    Does your Comp.Susp. 67K include the "welded washer" re-inforced front shock tower bracket? I have seen them on a lot of 67 Shelbys, though no all...

    Any thoughts or proof of the actual tire that came on the 67K if assembled with the optional "6.70X15-4 Ply Rated 170MPH Black Sidewall Tire" (as per the Marti Report)??????

    All 5 of my wheels are stamped "15X6" with the circle "Kelsey Hayes" logo and dated coded 1 to 2 months prior to the final assembly. I have no reason to believe these are not the original wheels.

    I think that perhaps the tire would have been the same "Goodyear Speedway 350" that came on the 67 Shelbys.

    Also listed on the Marti Report is "Competition Suspension". This is what I would interpret as the identical suspension found on the 67 GT350 Shelby.

    Any input or discussion welcomed...<img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

    Bob (...and another K-code nearing full resurrection)

    My C5OE-A balancer is cracked at the keyway<img src=images/icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>......Unusable and likely not worth trying to repair at this time. I do not want to use a C8 "stepdown" service replacement I have, as it would be non-concours correct. Date coding is not a major concern. I would appreciate any leads. Thanks.

    Here is a pic from the build sheet. Thanks Scott

    If some can tell me how to upload pics to a post then I have a great pic of a COMPLETE and readable build sheet for a 7T02K to share with all...

    The front spring reads: YELVIOL

    rear spring reads: ORGPN

    My 15E Milpitas/San Jose built 67K GT has the 120mph speed-o-meter with odometer and the 6K tach (no red-line). I have NO reason to believe that this was not the the original setup from the factory! A build sheet that I have seen for a "7T02" K indicates "X" for the tachometer without regard to 6K or 8K. I personally think that since so few 67K Mustangs came down the same San Jose assembly line as the 1,175 Shelby destined K's, that the 8K tachs were not always available...hence, mine and perhaps many other "7R0x" K's were assembled with the more common 6K versions.

    Again, there were both 6K and 8K, as well as the 120mph and 140mph speed-o-meters in the 67Ks.

    Can any owners of Dearborn or Metuchen 67Ks report having the 120mph/6K versions?

    I have a set of Thermactor castings. I will have to check the date codes. If I remember right, they were not date matched.

    <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana" size=2 id=quote>

    Marv...This could be my best option to date...Let me know the dates...It may be better than a pair of circa '70's C8ZE service heads...Thanks...Bob

    I was looking at Shelby's new magazine and spotted an add for R-A Motorsports. Their site features ongoing work on this 67K.

    Hey...that's my car!...and hoping to have it ready for an early summer '08 debut.

    Stay tuned....<img src=images/icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

    My 67K is a Marti verified "Exhaust Emission Control"...(aka: thermactor/air-pump) K-code. Block cast date 7E1. Block assembly stamps: 7E5 (timing chain cover boss) and 7E4 (oil pan mating surface, by the oil pump).

    The original engine ID tag reads:

    289 C 67 14

    7-E E 245-B

    289=Engine C.I.D.

    C=Cleveland engine plant code

    67=Model Year

    <b>14=Engineering Change Level</b>

    7-E=Year-Month of Production (May 1967)

    E=??? (May???)

    245-B=Engine Code Number (289 Hi-Performance)

    (Check this cool website out: http://www.wrljet.com/fordv8)

    Can ANYONE help me Please?

    NOW is my last chance to locate a pair of 67K THERMACTOR heads (with a prior 7E1 cast date) before my 67K engine goes to the machine shop! This car has been Marti verified as 1 of 14 67K "Exhaust Emission Control" Mustangs produced (excluding 67 GT350s).

    Anyway...the rest of car is coming along great and now it's time for the engine. I would prefer to locate the correct heads NOW vs. later to avoid a future engine teardown/replacement, if I ever find a pair.

    This car when complete will likely be one of the best original examples and certianly one of the rarest of all K's.

    All leads and assistance would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks...Bob

    PS: if you would like to see pics of the car visit, r-amotorsports.com and check out the "Cars In The Shop"
