1966 rear brake cable

just bought an NOS cable. how can i confirm this is the real thing. i have not taken my old one out to compare.

Does the cable have a tag or bag with the part number? The 1975 Ford Car Parts show a p/n of C6ZZ-2A635-C and indicates a length of 160 1/4 inches with a "red" identifier. Remember, it is a one piece assembly.

it is a one piece cable. has no markings on it except for a couple backwards shaped 'S' on the metal fittings that snap into the rear brake backing plates. these also have a bit of yellow paint overspray. the rubber insulators have a couple stripes of light ribbing along their lengths.
