Im tossing a line out to see if someone can help me with this. The machine shop called me today and told me that my block is cracked. Does anyone have a 4G or 4H 289 6 bolt block or something close to that date. Im going to have to try and replace the block with something close date wise. Please let me know.

I have the following:

It has the original main caps and was sent to the machine shop and it is ready for assembly. The bore is .30 over and has a sleve in #4 or #8. I can't remember which one. It is a true K code block with the VIN stamp, which could be removed or filled in with epoxy before painting if desired.

I looked and all I have close is a 4J24. It has standard main caps but I would assume you could use yours and have it line bored??? I haven't had it checked by a machine shop but I'm pretty sure it's a good block. Let me know.
