• I drove, yes drove, the 66 over to the body shop a couple of days ago. I can't afford to do the whole car, but I'm tired of it looking the way it does, so I picked up some cans and donated enough plasma to get a little work done. The preceding line was my feeble attempt at humor.

    While I was there I saw a convertable they were working on. This car was recently purchased off ebay for 18,500, with no inspection. The car was originaly a six cylinder and was converted (poor job) over to a v-8. It was not represented as a k-car. The paint is top notch, shiny and deep. However, the car began to sag so bad the new owner brought her in for a little attention. After some disasembly, it was found to have had a lot of coupe parts welded in the floor area. Of course coupe parts didn't fit just right, so the body genious just pulled, cut and pacthed it together. Anyway, please be careful, this happens a lot. I tell you what, this car was NICE looking from 5 feet away, one might not have noticed...
