Numbers In my sheet metal what Do they mean

    Hi All.

    I have these numbers stamped in the sheet metal panels of my car could anyone tell me what they mean if they are a date code could anyone tell me how to read them please.

    24 = day = 24th

    D = Dearborn stamping plant

    2 = Shft = 2nd shift of the day
