OK... I've been out of touch for a while, and need some help... I ordered a new tank for my '66 and there's this stamping on the botom of the tank:
I guess I screwed up and ordered a cheap kit... is there a kit without this or similar flashing light it's a repop?
Haven't seen that before. The Spectra tanks are about the best that can be bought now.

That is probably the imported version. I don't have one here to look at, but there is a huge difference between that tank and the nice Spectra tank that Charles mentions.
The drain plug is probably incorrect on your tank also. The drain plug on the Spectra tank looks just like the original.
The imported tank is only marginally cheaper than the nice one. IMHO, the savings is not even worth it for a budget or driver restoration. We have never offered them for that reason.
We only carry the nice one.
