Number On Toploader

    Anyone seen early narrow pattern toploader that the serial number is on the thin pad in back like the Cali built Hipo Mustangs that the numbers look like 4A66Z185360?Buddy took this out of his Mustang and the numbers are strange so can anyone decode it?

    Phil, That VIN is for an Atlanta built full size 64 Ford 2 door hardtop with a 300 horsepower 390. I am very surprised that a combination of that type would have received a VIN stamp.

    That makes two of us but I did see the trans with number on it.Not a real important car but maybe a practice that the Atlanta plant did.If any Galaxie guys read this that number should stir the fires up on discussion!...Thanks
