1964 K Code Fairlane at Kissamee Auction

This restored K code 1964 Fairlane Sports Coupe was just sold at auction in Florida for $24,000.

I don't know a lot about Fairlanes but this one looks nice to me and IF it has a VIN stamped engine and trans that match the car then I'd say this was a decent buy for someone....

It seemed like a pretty bona fide car from what I can tell. Except for the aluminum intake, the engine appears correct, although I can't tell if the distributor is the correct early style casting. The 63-64 HiPo Fairlanes didn't get the VIN stamped engines, but rather, a serial number was stamped on the engine near the bell housing. These early HiPo's were built with 5 bolt blocks, and the serial numbers were used to help Ford's engineering department track defects and overall quality. READ MORE HERE
