Hi.
You will need to resize the pic before uploading it.
If you are running Windows XP, this tool will help.
Just click on the link, install the program, and when you are done, right cick on the image you want to resize on your drive and the option "resize picture" will appear in the menu. Choose 800*600, and then upload the pic again.

I did get the nos kilo speedo installed, it looks just great. I'll post some pics of the car when it comes out of its winter hideaway in a few weeks.

Yikes... Virtually the same price as the red one currently on ebay and not nearly as detailed.
Nice color combo, vin stamp looks like it was done twice, worth a look under the fenders to check the other ones.
I wonder where he got the "one of approximately 270 built in 1965" from. If you ignore 64.5's, there are already 164 convertibles in the registry and only about 14% of 1965 production is accounted for at the moment. Not all are GT's, far from it, but I'll bet that number is wrong.
Still a nice looking car if you are driving on the wrong side of the road

Quote1965 FORD MUSTANG, A high-performance version of the 289 engine was introduced late in the 1963 model year as a special order for Ford Fairlanes and Mercury Comets. The engine is informally known as the "HiPo" or the K-code (after the engine letter used in the VIN of cars so equipped). Starting in June 1964, it became an option for the Mustang. The HiPo engine was engineered to increase performance and high-RPM reliability over standard 289 fare. It had solid lifters with hotter cam timing; 10.5:1 compression; a dual point, centrifugal advance distributor; smaller combustion chamber heads with cast spring cups and screw-in studs; low restriction exhaust manifolds; and a bigger, manual choke 595 CFM carburetor (std 289 4v was 480 CFM). The water pump, fuel pump, and alternator/generator pulley were altered; fewer vanes, extra spring, and larger diameter respectively; to help handle the higher RPMs. Even the HiPos fan was unique. Bottom end improvements included thicker main bearing caps and balancer, larger diameter rod bolts, and a hardness tested and counterweighted crankshaft, all for high-rpm reliability. The HiPo carried SAE gross ratings of 271 hp (202 kW) @ 6000 rpm and 312 ft7lbf (423 N7m) @ 3400 rpm. California car, listed in K-Code registry, Cobra intake, hi-po exhaust, rebuilt motor (4K), concour front suspension, brakes and gas tank. As far as I know they were the original miles. It had a reciept for tires that were on it with the miles on the car when they were purchased. This car is the original color (vintage burgandy) but it has been painted. I have made a few changes over the years but have all the original parts that were taken off so they are included in the sale of the car. Includes bell housing, intake manifold, factory headers and even the dual point distributor.

I bought it from a friend of mine in Pennsylvania who has a Shelby restoration business who happened to have a friend that was selling the car. The car was completely restored around 1982. The engine was rebuilt around the same time; new pistons, valves, oil/gas pump, everyting was magnafluxed. Since then, it has won many trophies, one of which was "concours". I have a book of pictures regarding the retoration process. I also have all the reciepts. According to my Shelby friend, the owner was a collector and pretty much just entered this car in shows. It shows no rust, the car is straight. It was repainted (original color) when restored and I had to have the hood repainted about two years ago (perfect color match) due to a garage door operator arm that scratched the hood. The only flaw are two very small nicks on the trunk. Since I have had the car I have installed an aluminum hi-rise manifold (not a repro) C90X-9424B. A Holley 715cfm carburetor 4556D on front of carb, 455703on back of carburetor, E2Ms-9510-A, List 3259-1, 1940, also not a repo. I put on tri-y's with flowmaster mufflers.Except for the Flowmasters, the upgrades are the same as the 1965/66 Shelby. New Petronix instead of points. The tachometer and clock work on and off, it should be sent out and restored. The steeing wheel I bought off E-bay (it is an original) and had it restored by Virginia Mustang. Also since I have owned the car, I have ; had the original alternator rebuilt, installed a 4-row radiator, new Autolite battery, new steel styled wheels (5), and new redline tires (5). I also pulled the engine to re-detail the compartment and engine. Upon doing so, I checked the engine number (on the lower right side) and what I could mke out was that it is the same number as on the VIN. I would rate the car at a "2" The car is being sold "As Is". To the "Buy It Now" winner- I will include the original exhaust manifold; beaded and painted, the original intake manifold; beaded and painted, the origianal carburetor, and the original steering wheel. Engine professionally maintained. I am the third owner.

* Has a period correct 4 speed toploader transmission, clutch has been relaced at the time of the motor rebuild.
* Has a period correct 9 inch ford 3:50 limited slip rear end
* Has front disc brakes, and recent new front end rebuild.
This car has plenty of power and tourque! Drive it and you will want it. This car is very reliable, and a blast to drive with its power and torque. Stops great with front disc brakes, goes down the road straight.
