Transmission question

    Is the K code's stock 4 speed transmission a toploader? I assummed it was, but noticed reverse gear is down to the left, whereas the reverse gear in my Cobra replica's toploader is up to the left.

    I assume your Cobra would have a Hurst shifter & linkages? The stock Ford linkages has the reverse to the bottom, Hurst linkages are up beside first.

    My linkage is indeed a Hurst. Shifter is original style bent shifter, similar to if not the same as the Mustang's, just installed backwards. Thanks for the info.
