"FLEM" ?

We know about the "OK" stamps in the engine bay area. Were there any ink stampings in the trunk area?

The reason I ask is that while taking some photos of my '77 T-bird I noticed 2 ink stampings on the underside of the trunk lid. One says "FLEM" and the other one was smeared and hard to read. I assume they were just some type of inspection stamp.

Here are two pictures from a 67' K dearborn Kar. There is a sticker "F" and then the jack sticker. No other markings. Hope this helps.

Not unusual but you have to consider that by 77 there were using different methods of marking (saw a number of names on Continentals today at a yard) Just one of the paint inspectors at that plant (not sure where 77 T birds were built)

Hood (under the sound deadener padding) and the trunk seem to be where they last the longest
