Returning Member, "65 K-code Fastback owned since 1972

  • I believe I was involved in the previous exchange. I've owned my '65 K-code fastback since the summer of 1972 when I went off to college. It's had quite a few modifications, as it's been featured in numerous magazine and website tech builds. Blew up the original engine street racing long ago. Currently has a 289, .040-over Ford reman short block, original hi-po heads, Comp cam, JE pistons, Edelbrock intake, Milodon pan and oil pump, Quick Fuel 600 carb and JBA exhaust system w/ shorty headers. Also has complete TCP suspension makeover, Aeromotive fuel system, all-new wiring harness and Custom Autosound system along with 15-inch Torq Thrust wheels and BFG rubber.

  • Welcome aboard! Your modifcations were the norm for day 2 Kars back in the day. The main point is that you were able to enjoy your Kar without worrying about keeping it original.
