What did I buy? S2MS Intake manifold identification

  • Trying to figure out exactly what I just bought. This intake was on a 289 I just bought. I think I know what it is, but many of you have forgotten more than I know about K-code anything, and I'm anxious to learn more. Any ideas/comments are welcome. Thanks!

  • I will stick my toe in the water here. As I recall. the OECO stamping on the underside was for Offenhauser Equipment Corp I am pretty sure that they were one of Shelbys vendors just like Buddy Bar Casting. Interestingly, both Offenhauser and Buddy Bar are still in business.

  • Hi Fred,

From what I have been reading this evening, I agree and think it was made by Offenhauser. And I think it's an original, not a repop, and would have originally been from a '66 GT350. At least that's what I think I'm reading.....I could be wrong.....and I'm open to learn.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
