65 Mustang Koupe originally Ivy Green with Ivy Gold and White pony interior is for sale on Bring A Trailer as a reserve price auction:

This 1965 Ford Mustang coupe was fitted with a replacement 302ci V8, a C4 three-speed automatic transmission, and an 8″ rear end under previous ownership before being acquired by the seller in 2021. Subsequent work is noted to have involved adding a Champion aluminum radiator, rebuilding the carburetor, and overhauling the brakes as well as replacing the fuel tank, heater core, and door panels. Finished in blue over black vinyl, the car features front bucket seats, a cabin heater, and an aftermarket stereo along with a dual exhaust system, power steering, and 14″ steel wheels with covers. This Mustang is now offered in Mayer, Minnesota, with a repair manual, partial service records, spare parts, and a clean Missouri title in the seller’s name.

Delivered from the factory in Ivy Green, the car is said to have undergone a color change to red before being repainted in its current blue finish under previous ownership. A crossbar grille, 289 fender badging, and bright rocker and side cove trim are further details.

The 14″ steel wheels wear full covers and are mounted with Douglas XTRA-TRAC A/W tires measuring 195/70. The car is equipped with power steering, and braking is handled by front and rear drums. Work in 2021 is noted to have involved repacking the wheel bearings as well as replacing the brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, tie rod ends, pitman arm, idler arm, and drag link.

The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in black vinyl with patterned central inserts and accompanied by lap belts up front along with three-point seatbelts out back. The seller notes that the faceplate around the radio has been cut and houses a RetroSound Motor 4 radio connected to aftermarket speakers. The door panels are said to have been replaced under current ownership along with the heater box and core.

Woodgrain trim extends from the steering wheel to the dash and center console. Instrumentation consists of a 140-mph speedometer flanked by auxiliary gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, amperage, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 78k miles, approximately 150 of which have been added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.

The 302ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and wears Ford Motorsport–branded valve covers. According to the seller, work under current ownership has involved adding a Champion aluminum radiator, rebuilding the carburetor, and replacing the fuel pump and tank.

The factory four-speed manual transmission and rear axle were replaced with a C4 three-speed automatic transmission and an 8″ rear end under previous ownership. The car is equipped with a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe. Rust is noted on various underside components.
