Pinion bracket snubber

    • Official Post

I just want to make sure that there should be two rubbers used on the rear axle? One that bolts to the pinion bracket and the one that is welded to the underside of the trunk pan, just seems odd having two rubbers?

I have seen this several times and one just beats the other one to death. It is a factory error and my theory is that every Mustang that comes down the line gets the one on the body, except for the Hipo which gets a different one on the pinion bracket. Being as there were so few Hipo Kars, I see it as an easy error. Usually the one on the body gets the worst of the damage. Just eliminate the one on the body and you are done.
