This particular version is the one with 500 RPM increments. On a 6K version, that is not so bad, but I had this 8K version on one of my Kars and I found it to be a very busy dial making it hard to read, especially at night. The majority of low profile Rally Pacs are the 1K RPM increment version which works out well. I am surprised that the reproduction Rally Pacs use only this busy 500 RPM increment version.

This is a real deal 1966 Mustang 8,000 RPM Rally Pac assembly. The Rally Pac is one of the coolest gauge clusters of the muscle car era. There were quite a few of these rally pacs made in the 6,000 RPM version. However, the 8,000 RPM version like the one you see here was reserved for the K code High Performance 289/271HP engine only. The Rally Pac was not included with the K Code engine, it was an additional option. This 8,000 RPM Rally Pac is an extremely hard to find original unit is very good condition. The Rally Pac was also available over the dealer parts counter as a high performance upgrade. Since it mounts to the steering column, this rally pac will fit many years, makes, and models. Please confirm your specific application.

This rally pac is in nice survivor cosmetic and working condition. It still wears its factory black wrinkle finish which is in good condition with various scrapes and scratches as shown. The gauge faces are very clean with bright vibrant dials and clear lenses. The chrome eyebrows shine well with aging. The original wiring is intact with connectors as shown. Even the original column mounting bracket is intact and in good shape. The tach has been tested and works flawlessly throughout the RPM band with no sticking or hesitation. The clock adjusts well but I have not powered it on since in my experience a clock should be cleaned and lubricated before testing to avoid damage. This is an amazing original 8,000 RPM Rally Pac!

This low profile version of the Rally Pac (combination tachometer and clock) was introduced to accommodate the five gauge instrumentation in the new '65 GT option groups. The electrical tachometer is ignition points powered measuring current flow and the clock also uses points with a 12 / 24 hour face.

We chose to offer this Rally Pac in need of rebuild as it has been sitting countless years. That way we are sure we're selling you a unit that might need some attention or cleaning. We found the RPM gauge to be free moving a sign of functionality (see photos) although the clock which was functional could be unpredictable with the point design. The clock has been cleaned and reconditioned to bring this piece to driver car quality. The body and casing, as well as glass bezels are all in nice condition. We see no signs of case damage, cracks, or other quality issues.

Also included is an bottom bracket and wiring. You will need a Rally Pac dash installation harness !This Rally-Pac would certainly be a nice addition to that 5 gauge instrument cluster, to give it that nice performance look.

This is a real deal 1966 Mustang 8,000 RPM Rally Pac assembly. The Rally Pac is one of the coolest gauge clusters of the muscle car era. There were quite a few of these rally pacs made in the 6,000 RPM version. However, the 8,000 RPM version like the one you see here was reserved for the K code High Performance 289/271HP engine only. The Rally Pac was not included with the K Code engine, it was an additional option. This 8,000 RPM Rally Pac is an extremely hard to find original unit is very good condition. The Rally Pac was also available over the dealer parts counter as a high performance upgrade. Since it mounts to the steering column, this rally pac will fit many years, makes, and models. Please confirm your specific application.

This rally pac is in nice survivor cosmetic and working condition. It still wears its factory black wrinkle finish which is in good condition with various scrapes and scratches as shown. The gauge faces are very clean with bright vibrant dials and clear lenses. The chrome eyebrows shine well with aging. The original wiring is intact with connectors as shown. Even the original column mounting bracket is intact and in good shape. The tach has been tested and works flawlessly throughout the RPM band with no sticking or hesitation. The clock adjusts well but I have not powered it on since in my experience a clock should be cleaned and lubricated before testing to avoid damage. This is an amazing original 8,000 RPM Rally Pac!
