• Hi all, I'm currently using the clutch fork pictured on my 66 GT350. I believe it is a hipo version of the fork. The boot I

have is for more common type of fork, ie, the one with the 'dragon's tongue' looking end for the spring. It's basically

centered with the depression. What boot is used with the hipo type of fork?s-l1600 (1).jpg

  • There is nothing special about the 66 version of the clutch fork for a Hipo 289. The early fork, like what you have uses what began life as a 64 Fairlane C4OZ 7513 A boot which is long obsolete. I have not seen one in many years and the only one that I ever had is now on 5S003, the very first GT350.
