K code motor mount heat shields

Did all year production K code engines have R & L motor mount heat shields installed when new. were they same as a non K code 289 shield.

Chuck, you are not going to like this answer.

According to the Ford MPC both illustrations and text, the motor mount heat shield is part number C3DZ 6C038 A. That shield was used on 65 non Hipo 289 engines and 260 engines only in all vehicles except Fairlanes which had no applications. It also fit 68 full size cars with a 302. It was never used in a Hipo 289 application.
