This bellhousing has been drilled out to accept the early narrow pattern transmissions. It can be use for that but the casting has no reinforcement to back up the narrow pattern. That is why it is cracked where it is, The seller is correct that this is not an issue, however this only applies if you are using the later wide bolt pattern transmissions.

This fits 289 289 HiPo Special 302 V8's with 3 and 4 speed manual transmissions. It includes the clutch fork pivot and accepts a 157 tooth flywheel. This has a small chip by one of the dowel holes ( see pictures ) that will not affect the performance of the bell housing. It is clean and ready to install. 157 tooth (smaller bell housing than the C5AA 164 tooth) original Ford bell housing. It was used 1965 1966 1967 1968 on both 3 and 4 speed cars. It was used on 289 and 302 engines It was used on Ford Mustang Shelby Falcon Fairlane and Mercury Cougar and Comet For 1965 - 1968 (early) Ford Mustang, the original bell was a 157 tooth.
