This pump is advertised as having a Hipo impeller but it is NOT a Hipo impeller. It has just a standard replacement stamped tin impeller.

Up for sale is a Remanufactured (by Ford) 289 HIPO Aluminum Water Pump for 1965 Mustangs or Shelbys. This isn't a made up hipo water pump rebuilt using a reproduction impeller.

This has the correct 6 vein cast iron impeller vs the standard 8 vein cast iron or stamped steel.
The engineering number cast in the front is C5AE-8505-C and the casting date is 1964. I can't be certain on the number of the dots to determine the month, but I see at least 6 (June).

Shipping via USPS Priority Mail is a Flat $15.00 to the lower 48.

The seller advertises this as brand new, but it is clearly stamped remanufactured on the pump and on the Fred Jones box. That is why I posted this pump as rebuilt.

This auction is for a professionally rebuilt water pump for a High Performance 289 (HiPo / K Code). This was rebuilt with the original HiPo impeller. The casting number on the water pump is C5AE-8505-C, and the date code is April 1965 (four dots around 65). This is an aluminum body water pump that does not use a backing plate.

One of the heater hose nipples is missing a small piece, which appears to be from corrosion. In addition, the radiator hose nipple appears to be dented. It does not appear that either of these will affect sealing or operation of this water pump.

The water pump is being sold as is.
