    Here is an Ebay auction for a single Hipo connecting rod by Ebay member "rcmvl" with a Buy-It-Now of $49.00:

    This is a C3AE-D high performance rod that was used in a Hi-Po 289. Rod has the oiling hole in the crank journal housing and square head bolts. These are specifically for hi-po 289 engines but have been used in Boss 302 and Mexican block engines. The pin bores are as made and not opened up. Ran rod in a Hi-po 289 engine prior to pulling engine and letting it sit for years. After tear down, rods sat for 20 years on shelf. Rods had a light rust coating. I cleaned, inspected and culled 4 of the rods as they has pitting on the pin end. This one has nothing that would interfere with use as you can see in the picture. If you are not happy with the rod, then let me know and we will work it out. I wouldn't hesitate to use it. I have 3 more like this one if you need more than one.

    I cannot accept credit or debit cards as I have no means to do so. I dont know why eBay insists on putting them in payment methods.

    Ford 289 hipo connecting rods/ boss 302 connecting rods. Condition is Used. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.


    This is a balanced set of connecting rods from a running motor, it is (5) 289 hipo rods and (3) 302 boss rods
    the only difference in the rods is the rod bolt on the 302 boss rod is a rounded shape
    when the motor was originally built three 289 hipo rods were damaged and replaced with the boss rods
    and professionally balanced
