Disc Brakes - when did they appear?

    Does anyone have a discussion thread or research to offer regarding when disc brakes first appeared on the Ks, and how as well? For instance:


    * Were they an optioned item or stock, and when for either or both?


    * Was there a Kar serial number involved in when they appeared?


    * Was there any preference among the body types or what factory they emerged from?

    Disc brakes have nothing to do with K codes. They were a stand alone option unless your car had the GT package. I was told when I asked this same question @ Aug 64 they started showing up, so I would assume with the true 65's.
