GT Stripe - Tape or Paint?

I'm nearing the final stage of restoring my 66 gt konvert and am debating the pros and cons of using the correct tape gt stripes versus painting them on. Question: What is your opinion of the effect that painted stripes might have on the value of an otherwise perfectly, and correctly, restored kar?

well imo you answered your own question when you said 'correctly restored kar'. i would use the tape stripes.

I would have to agree with Fred. I debated the same options when doing my kar and ended up doing the tape and am not the least bit disappointed. If you paint them you better make dang sure they are right the first time...

Definately tape. Paint is simply not correct.
