Argent or Charcoal on 7/65 styled steel wheels??

I am understanding that the early production cars that were built late enough to have had styled steel wheels were Argent painted in the slots while the later '65-'66 were Charcoal, do most vendors stock both??

Scott Drake produces them in both colors. There are a lot of early cars running around with the darker color and it is incorrect.

Thanks round2k!! That is what I thought, my JULY 1965 built "K" should have the BLACK ones then!!

Do you know the date when they changed? What date is classified early?

My K is a March 11, 1965. I'm after new wheels but want correct ones.
