• Hello Everyone.....This has been a GREAT day for me...as many of you know I bought my K code last year. The prevoius owner told me there was no VIN on the block. HE WAS WRONG!! Today, after using paint remover on the freshly restored engine ...I found it !! Thanks to all who said it could be stamped lightly. Mine is,and it is there. Would have never looked so hard if it was not for that info. Have a peaceful and happy Easter.........Ed and Carrilu

  • Hi Troy,

It is nice to confirm what the previous owner told me. I now know for sure this is the original drive train and a five matching numbers car. I found the # on the front passanger side of the block just above the oil pan gasket and below the ground strap. Numbers are spaced apart with about 1/4" between each. I can tell you lots about 65-66 mustangs but don't know how to post a picture to this site. Wish I could. I have lots that I would love to share. If you give me your e-mail address I can send you a picture of the VIN that way. Ed

Good for you! I'll bet it feels satisfying. I haven't found one on my car yet. Got a pic of where it was?
