t10 trans close ratio/wide ratio ?

Hi , how can i tell the difference between a close ratio and a wide ratio thanks Otto

Hi Otto,

Put the gear in first and check the number of revolutions

at the output shaft. More than 2.5, it's wide ratio and

less than 2.5, it's a close ratio.

the ring count on the input will give you the ratio as well. The close ratio will have 5 rings on the input, but you cannot see all of them without taking off the front bearing retainer.
