• On my commute home yesterday, I spotted a dark blue '65 fastback driving in the traffic. It looked to be in good shape, or at least had a decent paint job. I should mention though that it was 5 degrees F, light snow blowing around, and the road was coated with wet salt & sand put there to keep the road free of ice. This same mixture sprays up onto your car, gets in the seams, and will turn the metal into orange dust.


    On the same mile of road at the same time of day but a few months ago, I saw and early '60s Ford Galaxie. It was an old MN State Trooper car complete with big red light bubble, whip antenna, and all the badging and paint scheme intact. Think Andy Griffith Show only in color. It looked like it had just popped out of somebody's TV to go for a drive. Talk about nostalgia...
