Yes they were. The most common tire was a BF Goodrich though.

Personally, I wouldn't put a 42 year old tire on anything I was going to drive, no matter how good they look. Now, if you wanted to put them on a car in a museum, that's another story.
Just my humble opinion.

I agree whole heartly. If I felt safe driving with them I would put them on my 63 K code. They would look great with the original paint. Since all my cars are drivers I use modern radials on them. These tires would only work on a car that is a trailer queen that need date coded originals.
