Ford 289 casting date

Can anyone help me figure out when this 289 was made and what model it was supposed to go in. Casting Numbers

C 3AE 6015 N

3E15

C3AE-N blocks were used in 63 and

had 5-bolt bellhousing pattern.

The date on yours is May 15, 1965.

It could probably have been used in many Fords,

like Fairlanes, Galaxis etc.

While I am at it can anyone help me figue out the date code and model for a C4 transmission.

Could this C4 have come out of A early mustang?

Sean, all you provided us with is the Engineering Number of the Trans. You will need to send what other numbers are on the Trans and we will see if any of them are date codes...
