What's the Posting Protocol?

Hi all.

Before I post a question and get banned from the site, I would like to know what the protocol is.

There's a car for sale on the forum from a member. A friend of mine is interested in it and I'd like to get fellow member's ideas on the price of the car and the car itself by posting pics of the car from a website, however, I don't want get the owner angry and possibly embarrass him/her either.

How do I go about this?
