wanted bell housing

A friend of mine is restoring an early 50's Ford pickup and is installing a small block 351 Windsor. He wants to use the original transmission. He is looking for a bellhousing that will bolt to the engine which is 6 bolt and is the smaller bolt pattern for the transmission. I believe there were some bellhousing that had both patterns. There actually were no 6 bolt bell housings from Ford with both trans bolt patterns. There are at least one cast iron bell housing that has the material in place where you can drill and tap the narrow bolt pattern that you need. I have one and it is as if Ford planned ahead for both patterns but only drilled and tapped the wide pattern.
