Distributor question

I was looking at ended auctions on eBay and noticed a 65 dual point sold for much higher than later years (6 times). Is there a reason?

The reason that a 65 or 66 distributor sells for more is that they have a FoMoCo casting and are date coded correctly. The later distributors will function fine with the only problem being an Autolite or Motorcraft casting and a later date code. The early ones can be tough to locate when you need a specific date code.
