• Hi All.

Would you all please take a look at a E-Bay Auction of a 1966 F/B

K-car Number 180458017877 and take a look at the Photo that show's

the Rear Axle housing ????? Is this a Rebodied car as the Rebound Rubber is on the body and not third Mumber also would some one let

me know if the Brass Brake Block with the vent pipe is correct for

K-Code cars as it look like the one off the 8 Inch Rear Axle.

    Thanks all<img src=images/icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>

  • Mike,

The extra rubber bumper mounted on the body have been discussed here a few times before. I have personally seen a couple of original cars built this way and it is incorrect. The factory obviously made an error on this due to the fact that A code GT cars shared the same rear platform and they did use the bumper. You are correct anout the rear brake line being incorrect for this application. It is likely that it was replaced some time and whoever did it was unable to procur the correct hose and used a standard hose.
