Here is an opportunity i have not come across ever, sent to me by another forum member.
WOW, original and totally correct RESTORED lower control arms. Many people will know who the seller is; he does amazing suspension work on Mustangs/Shelbys and i wish i was in the market for a pair here and now.
there has been alot of talk about control arms of late; what is correct and what is wrong when restoring them. this to me is assembly-line correct, even comes with concours restored manual steer tie rod ends that are very difficult to find.

This C5OF-L Hipo carburetor sold March 4, 2021 on Ebay for $3,500.00 with 23 bids from 12 bidders.
-Fred-
thats a crazy price for a non restored carby. add on shipping and ebays taxes and your into the carby for $4k
makes the correctly restored examples Charles Turner did recently to be an absolute bargain.
WOW

very hard to find these days and super expensive if you can get someone to sell a set.
recently a New Old Stock pack of 10 sold for north of $500usd

you would have snapped it up straight away if it was correct at that price, unfortnately it will be purchased by someone will little experience and knowledge.
i had a australian ring me a couple of weeks ago asking if i wanted to buy his original 65 hipo fuel pump that he no longer requires. the pictures where of a very discoloured previously restored Carter example that at one stage was restored by your good self for the deceased Bill Herndon.
he paid $800usd for it. ouch

the shocks in my initial post are for K codes and i dont think they where the same examples as used on 66 shelbys. happy to be corrected if im wrong.

You are aware that not all NJ K engines where vin stamped. nobody really knows why but there have been to many 65 66 K cars from that plant that didnt seem to get a vin stamp on the block.
Fred will back me up on that.

yeah i noticed the increased price on this auction now, guess someone got in the ear of the person listing the carby and said hey this is worth more.
guess you could always bargain with the seller based on the original listing price.

i quietly thought something was up with the first sale, seems i might have been correct.
think this car will be up for sale for some time unless there is a drastic price drop
